Initial meeting


The initial interview (via Teams) takes approx. 30 minutes. In the first 15 minutes we would like to learn more about you and your CV, in the second 15 minutes we will answer all your questions and introduce you to what drives us every day and what exactly we do at VERTANICAL.
The interview partners for applicants for positions with management responsibility are always members of our Executive Board or management team. For applicants for positions without management responsibility, the first interview is conducted by a recruiter - usually with a manager from the relevant department.

Interview day / case discussion


If you are still interested in us and you were able to convince us, all applicants with management responsibility and venture managers will be invited to our applicant day at our premises in Gräfelfing. This always takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. - sufficient catering is provided.
You will arrive at our premises in Gräfelfing at 8.00 a.m. and will then be given a short test (lasts approx. 15 minutes) with general logic tasks at around 8.15 a.m.. Immediately afterwards you will receive the case questions (either CFO or Marketing&Sales cases). You will then have enough time to answer all the questions by 12.00 noon.
We will provide you with a laptop and writing materials to work on the questions. Afterwards, around 12.30 pm, you will present your results to two members of our management team. Around 13.30 you will have made it!
For applicants for positions without management responsibility, you will work with your interviewers to develop a case during a one-hour interview.
We conduct case interviews because we want to understand how you approach unfamiliar tasks, how much detail you go into and how you present your results. Most applicants really enjoy working on cases and it helps them gain a good insight into our culture and way of working.
If you have convinced us in the case interview and have applied for a position without management responsibility, we will quickly send you a non-binding offer (salary, vacation days, general conditions), which we will be happy to discuss with you in detail by telephone.

Final interview

For applicants for positions with management responsibility, we always conduct a third, personal interview with approx. 2-4 members of our management on site.
The aim is to get to know you even better, answer all your open questions and give you a deeper insight into exactly how we work. You will also have the opportunity to get to know your future colleagues better.
If we have been able to inspire you and you have also convinced us, you will receive a non-binding offer from us within a few days, which we will be happy to discuss with you in detail.

Contract offer

It's a match – you suit us and we suit you! Once you have accepted our offer, we will send you your employment contract as soon as possible.

Welcome to the VERTANICAL team! To ensure you have a smooth start with us, you will receive all the information in advance by email.
On your first day, our HR team will welcome you and give you an overview of our company structure, our culture and the most important tips and tricks for your first few days with us. This will be followed by specialist onboarding in your respective team.
